Multiple Teams · Week of 9/12 Recap

Football: Football went undefeated last week winning at the JV and Varsity level. The JV team hosted Heritage Monday night and defeated them 34-12. Nic Stuber led the way offensively with 2 rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown from Colin Shafer. Drake Deitsch pitched in the scoring effort with a kickoff return for a touchdown. The JV team is now 3-0 on the season.

The varsity continued their impressive start with a 35-0 win over a previously undefeated Wes-Del team. Joe Stuber led a balanced offensive attack with 132 yards rushing and 2 TDs.

The Varsity Girls volleyball team pulled an impressive victory against the Heritage Patriots Thursday evening. The game went to 5 sets after the stars tied the Patriots for 2 set wins each. The final set, (5) was won by the Starfires with a score of 15-12. Heritage recently beat Leo High School, who is currently ranked #1 in class 4A volleyball. Seniors Morgan Alberson, Caralie Farlow, and Emma Rosswurm all were thrilled with the win.

The Volleyball team will be back in action Tuesday when they take on the Jay County Patriots.

Tennis: Tennis had a rough week dropping matches to Huntington North, Bellmont, and Bluffton. Each match was decided by a 0-5 score. Tennis hopes to get back in the win column tonight at FW Wayne.

Boys Soccer: Boys Soccer suffered 3 losses last week and now has a season record of 3-7.

Monday: SA lost to Heritage 2-0
Thursday: SA lost to Wayne 4-1
Saturday: SA lost to the FW Fusion 6-0

Girls Soccer: The girls team went 0-3-1 on the week.

Monday: SA lost to Heritage 2-1.
Tuesday: SA tied Blackford 1-1.
Thursday: SA lost to FW South Side 3-1
Saturday: SA lost to Blackhawk Christian

Cross Country: The runners enjoyed a tremendously wet and successful day Saturday as we hosted the SA Invitational.
