Starfires News · Busy Summer for SA Facilities

The South Adams Coaching Staffs have been busy this summer preparing their teams for their upcoming seasons. They have also been busy updating the facilities around the campus.

Top Left: Last year, Coach Anderson added the finish line to the cross country course. This summer they are preparing to add bushes to the front of the finish line to create a “chute” for the runners to run through as they approach the line. They will also add staging area for runners after they cross the line.

Top Right: Coach Moser has been busy this summer improving the entrance of the football field. New for this season will be an arched entrance that mirrors the cross country finish line.

Middle and bottom left: Coach Moser has also improved the entrance by adding improved landscaping around the flag pole. As the boxwoods grow together, you will notice they will spell SA for everyone to see as they walk in.

Bottom Right: The new baseball dugout project has begun. This week Coach Buckingham and crew began demolition of the home and visitors dugouts. Throughout the summer and fall, construction will take place on new dugouts that will better protect and serve each team.

It is an exciting time with these new projects. We still have two projects to go as the track needs serious upgrades and the football bleachers and pressbox will need replaced.
