South Adams boys soccer lost in the Sectional Championship to ninth ranked Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 3-0 Thursday night. McGerran Clouser had five first half saves to keep Luers off of the board for nearly the entire first half. It wasn’t until with three minutes remaining in the first half that Bishop Luers was able to get a goal off of a rebound from a corner kick to make the halftime score 1-0.
The score remained 1-0 until Luers scored from just outside the eighteen with sixteen minutes remaining. With five minutes remaining a penalty kick was awarded to Luers that was converted to make the final score 3-0.
South Adams finished with just four shots, two of which were on goal. McGerran Clouser ended the game with seven saves.
South Adams ends the season with a 6-7-1 record. The boys finished tied for third in the conference. Marco Vasquez and Brian O’Donnell led the season statistics with Vasquez scoring fourteen goals and O’Donnell with eight assists.
